Day 22 — A website

Met so many great people on this site, like the beautiful amandil12, the lovely fairyfloss_love, the brilliant janemauz and the amazing iseabail. I used to spend several hours a day on myfanbase, have been slacking a bit lately.
But yeah, it's brilliant (It's in German, though)

Day 21 — A recipe

VEGETARIAN SPRING ROLLS

20 sheets spring roll wrappers
2 carrots
1 white cabbage
1 cup dry flavoured soy mince
300 g beansprouts
salt pepper
oil for frying
for dip:
soy sauce
white vinegar

Shred carrots and cabbage. Add beansprouts. Soak soy in a little bit of water until damp. Add soy to mixture; salt and pepper to taste.

Wrap into spring roll sheets and then fry in oil.

Yummy!

I'm rather good at learning song lyrics. I've always been better at remembering lyrics than remembering anything school related.^^

I could spend entire days trying to assemble jigsaw puzzles. I'm currently trying to finish the one with the orca. The lion's already finished.

I spent the last couple of days reading several books, trying to finish my jigsaw puzzle and just spending time with my Mum. Only spent about 10 minutes in front of the computer and it felt great!
Good to know that I can still get by without being online, I'm not totally addicted yet :)

Really sorry for being lazy and not commenting on your journals. Somehow I just can't think of anything interesting to say *facepalm*

As part of the Welcome Week for the first-year students of the Leuphana University of Lueneburg a great streetart event was planned, that would bring together the university, the town and the art world.
About 35 internationally renowned street artists were invited to install their artworks at various locations in the city centre and the different university sites.

Why is Skins so freaking amazing?

I didn't want to continue watching Skins.
Don't ask me why, not sure myself. All I know is that I didn't intent on watching any more episodes of Skins.
Well, I failed.
I'm completely hooked on it again and catching up on the recent episodes at the moment.
Why does it have to be so addictive?
And why are all those girls so freaking beautiful? I mean, hello.

Day 04 — Your favorite book

Nicholas Sparks begins his book, A WALK TO REMEMBER, by promising that "first you will smile, and then you will cry --- don't say that you haven't been warned." And he was right!

Certainly the last person in town Landon Carter thought he’d fall for was Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of the town’s Baptist minister.
A quiet girl who always carried a Bible with her schoolbooks, Jamie seemed content living in a world apart from the other teens.
She took care of her widowed father, rescued hurt animals, and helped out at the local orphanage. No boy had ever asked her out.
Landon would never have dreamed of it. Then a twist of fate made Jamie his partner for the homecoming dance, and Landon Carter’s life would never be the same.
Being with Jamie would show him the depths of the human heart and lead him to a decision so stunning it would send him irrevocably on the road to manhood.

This book helped me through hard times. It helped me deal with my Mum's cancer and brought me closer to God.
It helped me understand that it really doesn't matter whether or not I'm popular, whether or not people like me, as long as I am content with who I am.

I read this book countless times. I like to just open it up on a random page and start reading, it feels like I'm spending time with a good friend (this might sound weird, but it's true).
Landon Carter is someone that I would like to know (and love). And Jamie Sullivan is someone I aspire to be like.

"Love is always patient and kind.
It is never jealous.
Love is never boastful or conceited.
It is never rude or selfish.
It does not take offense and is not resentful.
Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins, but delights in the truth.
It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes."
Jamie was the truest essence of that very description.

There are so many lessons to be learned from this book, I think everyone should read it at least once!

Day 03 — Your favorite tv show

I couldn't choose!
I've loved One Tree Hill for so long. It was such a huge part of my teenage years. There are so many memories connected to certain episodes and songs. And I mean, it's shot in Wilmington, freaking Hollywood East. The same place that Dawson's Creek was shot, a show that I grew up with and loved a lot. So yeah, I love One Tree Hill.

I've only been a Doctor Who fan for about two years now but it's become a really big part of my life and I love this show so much! Watching Doctor Who makes me happy. No matter how bad a day has been, watching DW always cheers me up.

So, there you have it :D
